What are Chrysalis Recruiters for Change?
Recruiters for Change support Chrysalis and our clients by setting up a personal fundraising page and engaging with their network to reach their self-assessed individual or team goal. Whether the aim is to raise $50, $200, or $500, these collective efforts help ensure that thousands of our job-seeking clients continue to have access to vital employment-preparation services, basic needs support, and transitional job opportunities throughout the pandemic and beyond.
Our Recruiters for Change often dedicate upcoming events in their lives to benefit Chrysalis, such as:

In 2021, Chrysalis Recruiters for Change collectively fundraised over $40,000.
Why should I peer-to-peer fundraise (and is it hard)?
For Michael Murphy, setting up a peer-to-peer fundraiser was a no-brainer. The opportunity combined three things about which he is very passionate: Addressing homelessness, supporting Chrysalis and our clients, and competing in races.
He recalls being faced with 25-50 mph headwinds in the desert while going uphill during Ironman Arizona 2021. “One-third of the race participants dropped out because of the extreme weather conditions. It was miserable. I was thinking to myself, ‘Why am I doing this?’ But then I’d remember – doing this helps empower people to change their lives. All of the sudden, I was at the next turn, going downhill with tailwinds.
It makes such a difference to be doing this in support of an organization I care about so much. It gave me that extra motivation to keep running keep cycling and keep swimming.”

Meet Recruiter for Change Cookie Duong. Charged with organizing her company’s annual putt-putt fundraiser, she shares that they had fun while making an impact – and they felt supported by Chrysalis and the fundraising platform in executing the event each step of the way.
“We wanted to keep our donations and impact local. After researching several organizations in the area, we chose Chrysalis. Chrysalis makes a direct impact on our community. This was my first time hosting [our annual fundraiser]. It’s obvious that Chrysalis knows how this process goes.”
