Chrysalis is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors. We have developed this privacy policy to ensure that donor information is protected and not shared with any third party.
All information concerning donors or prospective donors, including names, addresses, telephone numbers, beneficiary names, and gift amounts, will be kept strictly confidential by Chrysalis, its staff, and volunteers, unless the donor has given permission to release such information. Chrysalis does not sell or share donor information collected both online and offline.

The types of donor information that Chrysalis collects and maintains include:
- Contact information such as name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Giving information
- Information about events attended, publications received, and requests for program information
- Information provided by the donor in the form of comments and suggestions
How We Use Donor Information
Chrysalis uses donor information to better understand our supporters’ interests in our mission and to provide updates about our programs, plans, and activities. This information is shared only with staff, board members, volunteers, and consultants who need it to perform their responsibilities.
Chrysalis assures donors that their names and addresses will not be shared with any third party unless permission has been granted.
Payment Information
When a donor makes a financial contribution to Chrysalis using a credit card, that information is stored in a secure and confidential manner. Chrysalis employees may access this information only when there is a legitimate business reason, such as issuing a refund to a donor’s credit card.
Chrysalis maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect donor information, and all employees are required to follow these standards.
Confidentiality Policy
Staff, board members, and volunteers involved in fundraising may have access to personal information about a donor’s giving history, family, wealth, and assets. They understand that it is vital to both donors and the organization that this information remains confidential, as outlined in the AFP Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice and Donor Bill of Rights.
All staff, board members, and volunteers are required to read and sign a confidentiality agreement. Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action or removal from their role within the organization.
