About Chrysalis Works

Chrysalis Enterprises professional street-maintenance/cleaning service, Chrysalis Works, employs homeless individuals in apprenticeships to give them marketable experience and job skills.

Chrysalis Works began in 1993 as a pilot project in Downtown Los Angeles to test the viability of providing apprenticeships in street maintenance. Today, Chrysalis Works cleans over 100 city blocks in Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica. The program represents an important partnership with private industry - Chrysalis Works provides services to several Los Angeles business associations and private companies.
